- TODAY'S BIBLE TEXT
Text: Psalms 37:1-11
1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. 2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. 3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. 4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. 5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. 6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. 7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. 8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. 9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. 10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. 11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

TRUST IN THE LORD
Text: Psalms 37:1-11
Memory verse: Psalms 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
How can you follow if you don’t trust. Trusting is choosing and letting God be your first choice in your time of need. Not your second, not your third, not when you feel like, but He has to be your first line of defence. When you look back at your past situations, maybe even some current ones now, you turned to everything and everyone else and look at the mess you have made and how far that has taken you, as Christians, our resolve has become so worldly that we rather turn to other resources instead of the Source to solve life’s problems. Wherever or whoever you turn to first that’s where your faith and trust stops. Don’t let Him be your last choice. We run and turn to man and when the Bible tells us that man will fail us, but God is our help in our present time of trouble, we should run to Him who is able to keep us from falling. “Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar,” What does this mean? Go to God first, then man, and if man is not saying what he intended in his heart, then man is wrong. But what we have done now is that we have called man the truth and God a liar. You say that you believe in Him and will walk in His ways, but you turn to man and say let me see what this person has to say first.
Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path.”
You must trust the Lord with all your heart. That means that everything that is in you, you trust Him with it. Everything that you hold dearly, you trust Him with it. But how do I know that I am trusting and having faith in the Lord? Because you are not leaning on your own understanding. You are not trusting in your own intellect, but you are leaning on God’s wisdom. Then in all that you do, you will let Him be a part of it and God will make your path successful.
The second thing about faith is, if the Lord has told you to do something or He has told you that He will do it, then believe in Him. The bible says in Psalms 37:5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
