THE WORD OF KNOWLEDGE “from the eyes”
- TODAY'S BIBLE TEXT
Text: Luke 11:34-36
34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. 35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. 36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

THE WORD OF KNOWLEDGE “from the eyes”
Text: Luke 11:34-36
Memory verse: Matthew 6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
Because you have real Love for people, you will find compassionate will inside you, when you look at people. This doesn’t happen all the time, but when it does, it can be very effective and sometimes embarrassing as you may start to shed tears. Whether you know the person or not does not make any difference. Through your eyes you will suddenly know things and how to speak a word or minister to that person. Our eyes are very important: "The light of the body is the eye".
One of the most powerful ways of receiving a Word of Knowledge for others is via "the eye-gate." Love and compassion are released through seeing. When Jesus saw the needs of people He was moved with compassion. You can use your spiritual eyes to receive Words of Knowledge for others. This can happen when we look at a person with our natural eyes and yet, at the same time, we can "see" through our spiritual eyes and receive information from the Holy Spirit for that person.
For example, in a meeting, under s spiritual supervision you can place a chair at the front of the meeting where everyone can see. Invite a volunteer to come and sit in the chair. The Leader then exhorts the people to look at the person sitting on the chair without boring them with insensitive, and unnecessary staring. At the same time everyone is exhorted to open their heart and spirit to God, making themselves available to the Holy Spirit to receive a Word of Knowledge for that person. Lead them in a prayer, like "Holy Spirit, we make ourselves available to You right now. If there is anything You would like us to say to this person on the chair that will help to bless, inspire, encourage, minister and speak to them in such a way that they know it is the Holy Spirit, then, Lord, we are willing to share it, thank You, Lord, that You want to use us in this special way in Jesus’ name. Amen."
Encourage the people to "pick-up" on those "first impressions." Once they have, then they are asked to come forward to speak out what they have received over the person. It is a good thing to have the "words" given recorded, so the person can go back and listen to them again and again at home. This has proved to be a tremendous blessing to so many people. For larger groups, several chairs can be used at the same time, portable tape recorders would be needed. I have seen church congregations released in a variety of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit using this method. And the "words" given have been accurate and very good. Your eyes are for seeing.
