IS GOD GIVING YOU A CLUE 2?
- TODAY'S BIBLE TEXT
Text: Genesis 9:13-14
13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. 14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:

IS GOD GIVING YOU A CLUE 2?
Text: Genesis 9:13-14
Memory verse: Exodus 31: 13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.
A sign from God never brings any sense of hopelessness, even if the sign is in difficult circumstances. God’s signs will fill you will hope. As we grow in recognizing the signs God is giving us both personally and, in our world, we will see how these signs bring us to reverence Him, how they point our eyes and focus on beholding Jesus, and how they always fill us with hope.
What’s stirring in your heart? What do you feel enthusiastic about? Could the reason you have that desire be because God gave it to you? Instead of automatically discounting your desires, take time to consider the possibility that those yearnings might be God’s Spirit guiding you into your next step. No matter how unusual your desire is, you never know how God might use it.
Don’t let the Devil convince you that God wants you to have a boring, desire-free life. Our good Father is more creative, more loving, and a lot more fun than we can imagine. While it is true not every desire is from God, He has given us the Holy Spirit to help us discern which desires to follow and which to dismiss. As you prayerfully assess your desires, trust God to lead you into amazing adventures for your good, the benefit of others, and God’s glory.
Probably the greatest mystery that has confronted humanity through every generation is what many have pondered, avoided, confronted, discovered, or fled from. “Is there a God?” Others look at the universe, nature, and a sense of incompleteness within themselves and conclude that ‘there must be something behind all this’. God in nature. God can be whatever you believe as all paths lead to the same conclusion. It is impossible looking for clues from the ground up. Digging in the earth for evidence of heaven. Looking through broken and polluted material in the things of the earth to indicate the existence of the divine and eternal. It’s not entirely futile but the evidence yielded is insufficient, and even flimsy in terms of convincing.
- TODAY'S HYMNAL
CGDS HYMN 27: SS&S
THERE'S A LIGHT THAT IS SHINING IN DRKNESS
1. There's a light that is shining in darkness,
While we wait for the dawning of day;
And it cheers us along on our journey,
Till the shadows shall vanish away !
2. So we'll wait and watch for the dawning,
The day of eternity blest;
Then take the wings of the morning,
And fly away to our rest.
3. From the sure word the prophets
have spoken, [the gloom;
There is light flashing forth through
For the Scripture can never be broken,
And the King in His glory will come.
4. Now we sing 'mid the darkness and shadows, ;
And we pray and we watch for the dawn
Till the Day-star, in glory arising,
Shall betoken the coming of morn.
His Second Coming
5. We are not of the night nor of darkness,
Let us walk, then, as children of day;
Our weeping shall be for a moment,
And our joy shall ne'er vanish away !
