THE HOLY SPIRIT GUARANTEES OUR RESURRECTION
- TODAY'S BIBLE TEXT
Text: Ephesians 1:18-23
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

THE HOLY SPIRIT GUARANTEES OUR RESURRECTION
Text: Ephesians 1:18-23
Memory verse: Romans 6: 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
The Holy Spirit is the power of God for the people of God. Our position in Christ makes resurrection power available to us. It is our responsibility to access it. Consider these thoughts from preachers, past and present, who speak clearly on the power made available to everyone of us through the Holy Spirit.
Smith Wigglesworth, wrote, Enter into the promises of God. It is your inheritance. You will do more in one year if you are really filled with the Holy Ghost than you could do in fifty years apart from Him. The power of the Spirit is God’s divine energy and authority released in believers’ lives for the purpose of righteous living and fruitful service. When we walk in the Spirit, we’re relying on His strength to accomplish God’s will. When we do God’s work by His strength, in His way, and with His wisdom, we’ll be blessed no matter what goes on around us. Walking in the Spirit does not mean life will be easy, but we never have to walk through it alone, because our Helper is always with us.
You have the same Spirit which Christ has, therefore at length he will do the same in you, that he did in Christ, that is, when all infirmities being utterly laid aside, and death overcome, he will clothe you with heavenly glory. By the strength and power of him, who showed the same might first in our head, and daily works in his members. He that had power to restore him to life, has power to give life to you. He that, restored him to life, will also restore you. The argument here seems to be founded, first, on the power of God; and, secondly, on the connection between Christ and his people. Jesus said in John 14:19, "Because I live, ye shall live also."
Is it time to access the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit? Absolutely yes! Hold on to God’s divine power that is living within you. Anyone who receives the grace and Spirit of Christ, and continues to live under its influence, a life of obedience to the Divine will, shall have a resurrection to eternal life; and the resurrection of Christ shall be the pattern after which they shall be raised.
