3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:  4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:  5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.   7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;  8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;  9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:  10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth;  even in him: 

24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:  25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.   26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.   27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field?  from whence then hath it tares?  28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this.   The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

DEMONIC INFLUENCE IN THE CHURCH

Text: Ephesus 1:3-10; Matthew 13:24-28

Memory verse: Isaiah 19: 3 And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.

In most Churches today it is no longer news that lack of revival has made way for the occultic and demonic people to found their way into the Church of God. They did not end up as members, they have taken over strategic offices in Churches and using their demonic powers and ideology to manipulate and influence the Men of God and the Church of God. How do you explain a very highly ranked and respected Minister of the Gospel traveling far to stop an intercessory prayer team from praying? That is evidence that the prayer from the team is affecting their operations in the Church. If we don’t wake up to pray and take over the Church of God, they will continue to manipulate the Spiritual life of the laity.

Occult, Witchcraft Spirit, and Sorcery are some supra-human or supernatural influence that is not from God. We commonly associate these group with some demonic influence. They are in today’s Church. Occult and Satanic activities are becoming more popular than it was twenty years ago and many people do not take the occult seriously. They laugh off the notion that the Power of Evil is part of the "real" world that we live in. Occult and demonic influence is very real and becoming a dangerous threat to our spiritual well-being. We cannot exhaust the details of their activities here but be assured they exist to manipulate the Children of God and even the Church of God if you are not steadfast and committed to extract the vessels they use. The devil uses demons and humans that made themselves available to him.

Apostle Paul said to the Church in Ephesus that God chose us in Jesus Christ before the world began. We are called to be holy and without sin in his sight. God called us to be his children through Jesus Christ. In Jesus and through his Blood we have been saved and our sins forgiven. This is how our generous God our Father has been with us. And He has given us the wisdom to understand this mystery, this plan He revealed to us in Christ.

The occult and evil ones will try to afflict the Children of God and try to lure us into their fold, but they cannot touch us directly unless we open the door for them. We should not fear Satan, his demons, or his occult agents, we must not constantly look for him or his activities in our daily dealings. BUT fix your eyes and your faith upon Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We are saved by Jesus Christ alone, through prayer, adherence to the Word of God in the Bible, and directions from the Holy Spirit.  

In Acts of the Apostles 23:21 certain Jews ganged up, and bound themselves with a curse, saying, "That they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul". But they were disappointed, and their purpose, though closely plotted, was totally made invalid. The aim of these evil men is to harm the truth, the Man of God and to encroach the house of God with darkness. As we pray God is going to disappoint them in Jesus’ name. Amen.

 Prayers 

1.  Almighty God, the Church is your property here on earth, frustrate and disarm every evil and occultic agents within and outside the Church in Jesus name. Amen.

2.  Oh Lord, expose every works of darkness in your Church in Jesus’ name.

3.  Almighty God, expose and disgrace anybody that has sold him or herself to the devil in other to manipulate the Church of God.

4.  If they repent Lord show mercy but if they don’t and want to continue, LORD reply fire for fire, reply to bullets with bullets and reply arrows with arrows in Jesus’ name. Amen.

5.  Lord, take back your Church, you offered your only son for your church, take it back oh Lord in Jesus name. Amen.

6.  You are the Almighty God, Taller than the tallest, stronger than the strongest. Show your powers and strength oh Lord.

7.  Turn their devices and weapon of manipulations to vanity in Jesus’ name. Amen.

8.  We understand that no wisdom, no matter how deep; no understanding, no matter how sensible; no counsel, no matter how cautious; no craftiness no matter how hidden, shall overthrow the purpose of God, or prevail against His truth, or hinder the execution of His will. Father, let your will and only your will prevail in Jesus’ name, Amen.

9.  Your infinite wisdom OH LORD can over match every craftiness from the powers of darkness. Oh Lord, destroy their devices for manipulations in Jesus’ name. Amen.

10.  Almighty God, disappoint every evil invention and device of the devil against your Church in Jesus’ name. Amen.

11.  Deliver us oh Lord from powers of darkness in Jesus’ name. Amen.

12.  Have mercy on us oh Lord and project your light into our lives and your Church in Jesus’ name. Amen.

13.  Lord God Almighty, make me an instrument of liberation for your Children in Jesus’ name. Amen.

14.  Your sacrifice on the cross shall not be in vain, father, arise and scatter all the enemies of the Church and your kingdom in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Make these declarations 

Almighty God, arise and flush out all the evil men and women, witches, and wizards in your Church. We know you want to save their lives, cause them to repent and be saved, but if they refuse to repent and want to continue with their evil and occult activities, Oh Lord expose them in Jesus name. frustrate their devices in Jesus’ name. Amen. Deliver your Church from occultic manipulations, deliver the destiny of your Children from evil and occultic manipulations. Save our lives, save our soul, I know oh LORD that you will not fold your hands and allow a very few stubborn evil men and women frustrate the destiny of your Children. Arise OH LORD and fight, you are the God of war, deliver us and free us from their hands in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
