25 And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.   26 This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE;  God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.   27 TEKEL;  Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting. 28 PERES;  Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.

     RAIN OF HEALING

Text: Daniel 5: 25-28

Memory verse: Ezekiel 17: 24 And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish: I the LORD have spoken and have done it.

Abortions are on the rise, Divorces are on the rise, perversity, such as adultery, homosexuality, and pornography, are on the rise, but when we look at the numbers over the last few years for salvation and baptisms are down and it leaves us with a very big question; “What’s happening?” Where have all the Christians gone? Christians make up over 2.1 billion people in the world. Then you add the economic mess. These past years, a half of the nations of the world has found itself in one economic crisis or the other, our nation is currently in such an economic mess that people are scared and worried. People are wondering if they will have a job or not after a diligent study in school, wondering where they will get the money to pay their bills, put food on the table and keep their heads afloat. We read on the daily news the calamity and darkness with insecurity, kidnapping, robbery, assassinations, and we ask, “Where did we get it wrong?”

Then moreover, the distress state of the healthcare, poor electricity supply, low standard of living and the poor value to our currency, Political and Economic relationship with other nations. Whatever our position is on it, I know we are all ready to go over all these crises. So many of us are asking on daily basis when will Jesus come back to take us home? But the reality is we don’t even know when Christ is coming back, so we could be left here on this earth much longer than we expect. These things that we are going through could even be the beginning of pains, which means the worse is still yet to come.

THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS

1. " There shall be showers of blessing " :

This is the promise of love ;

There shall be seasons refreshing,

Sent from the Saviour above.

Refrain:

Show - - ers of blessing,

Showers of blessing we need ;

Mercy-drops round us are falling,

But for the showers we plead.

2. " There shall be showers of blessing "

Precious reviving again ;

Over the hills and the valleys,

Sound of abundance of rain.

3. " There shall be showers of blessing " :

Send them upon us, O Lordl

Grant to us now a refreshing ;

Come, and now honour Thy Word.

4. " There shall be showers of blessing ":

Oh that to-day they might fall,

Now as to God we're confessing,

Now as on Jesus we call !

 Prayers

1.  Lord Jesus, speak to our leaders in this country and heal the land.

2.  Lord God Almighty, replace who you need to replace to heal this land in Jesus’ name. Amen.

3.  Lord, it seems as if the world has collapsed, hurling nations into a deep, dark pit. We come to you in complete surrender, desperate for you, helpless and afraid. Please lift us out of this pit and show us the way, Lord.   In Jesus’ name, Amen

4.  Almighty God, you are the only source of health and healing to this country, in you there is calm, and true peace in the universe. Heal and restore us as a nation in Jesus’ name. Amen.

5.  LORD God, we confess our needs to you today. We need your healing and your grace. We need hope restored. We need to be reminded that you work on behalf of those you love, constantly, powerfully, and completely. Forgive us for trying to fix our situations all on our own.

6.  Forgive us for running to different directions and spinning our wheels to find help, where there is no help, when true help and healing must be found first in You.

7.  Forgive us for forgetting how much we need you, above everyone and everything else. We need you Lord, to intervene over our situations in Jesus’ name. Amen.

8.  No one else can fully see and understand the pain we have and burden we carried. The burdens, the cares. You know where we need to be set free, deliver us oh LORD. As a nation deliver us from oppressors in Jesus’ name. Amen.

9.  We ask for your healing and grace to cover and med every broken heart, every wound, every heartache and restore your glory again to us as a nation in Jesus’ name. Amen.

10.  We thank you that you can do far more than we can ever imagine. Thank you for your Mighty Power that acts on behalf of your children in this nation. Do what only you can do to restore this country in Jesus’ name. Amen.

11.  Fight every battle before us in this country, for your greater glory.

12.  Father, we need you today, come with your supernatural strength to deliver us from the powers holding this country down in Jesus’ name. Amen.

13.  Father, help us as a nation to get back the original focus on you to work through you in Jesus’ name. Amen.

14.  We sincerely need to stop dwelling on our hurts and frustrations. Help us to be faithful in prayer and put our hopes in you. May the Holy Spirit guide and comfort us, strengthen us in Jesus' name, Amen.

 Make these declarations 

Lord, we need you in this country, release the rain of healing unto us as a nation, deliver us from the powers from the kingdom of darkness manipulating our leaders to steal instead of serving the nation. There is no sickness you cannot handle; the hearts of kings are in your hands. Almighty God, we need you to intervene. Only you can give rain. Father, release that rain that will heal us from every affliction from our leaders in Jesus’ name, Amen.
