THE WORD OF WISDOM IS FOR EVERYDAY LIVING

Text: Proverbs 3:5-6

Memory verse: Joshua 1: 8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

The beauty of God’s word is that it contains godly wisdom and truth for everyday living. Think about it for a second, God’s word is really for your own benefit, but it will only be of benefit to you only if you choose to adhere to its instruction. The abundance of wisdom that God’s word provides is available to as many of his children that look out for His wisdom for their daily living.

God wants the very best for you and me as his children and throughout the Bible, God reminds us that he has plans to prosper us if only we choose to put him first and walk in obedience to his word. There is so much truth, wisdom and life lessons that we can access if we make up our mind to obey God’s word as is made available to us daily, then you will begin to enjoy His promises and experience success and blessings.

Joshua 1:8 “Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.”

If we are God’s creation, who else do we look to for guidance or where else should we look into other than God’s word that reveals God’s plan for our lives and instructs us on how to live with wisdom every day. As a loving Father, God admonishes you and me to pay attention to his word because therein lies life and victory for our everyday challenges.

Therefore, as you go about your daily business and activities today, take time to deliberate over these bible verses. But here’s a recap of what God wants us to do as his children who love him and are obedient to his instructions. This gift can be used in everyday living situations. When problems arise, we are told to ask for wisdom. James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. James 3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. Apostle James concluded in James 3:17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.

God will grant us wisdom on how to live a consistent life and glorifying Him.

 Prayers 

1.  Lord Jesus, help me to live by Your wisdom daily.

2.  LORD God Almighty, help me to number my days on earth and apply my heart unto Your wisdom always in Jesus’ name. Amen.
