  • TODAY'S BIBLE TEXT

    Text: Matthew 5:33-37

    33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:  34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all;  neither by heaven;  for it is God's throne:  35 Nor by the earth;  for it is his footstool:  neither by Jerusalem;  for it is the city of the great King.   36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.   37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea;  Nay, nay:  for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

    THE SNARE OF EVIL COVENANTS 2

    Text: Matthew 5:33-37

    Memory verse: Matthew 23: 16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor.

    Satan, who wishes to snare well-intentioned Christians and bring them into condemnation gets them to swear binding oaths. Sacred oaths may feel right and seem solemn and deep and spiritual, but they are a spiritual snare. This is why Jesus always attacks the making of oaths, vows and make pacts vows and pledges with the devil, through wearing clothes, rings and chains that have been dedicated to the kingdom of darkness. That is why anyone thinking of wearing rings waist chains and beads, anklets and toe rings need to think twice. Those who pierce their tongues and beneath their chins to feel like they belong are all asking for trouble.

    Many of these harmless looking jewelleries have been dedicated to pagan gods and idols. Goddess of love, the goddess of nymphomania, the goddess of snakes, crocodiles, Nubian goddess. For instance, many of the Thai and far east jewellery we wear are usually dedicated to the god of iron and metals in these far eastern cultures. Just imagine that because you decided to pierce your nose and put a ring in there, you are now joined to some animal image with 10 hands. Many of us have had tattoos done on our bodies. These are permanent blood vows and covenants with the idols you ask to be drawn on you. Many of these tattoo houses are opened by those in the occult as a means of luring, initiating, and recruiting unsuspecting and adventurous individuals to the kingdom of darkness.

    By the Blood of Jesus, break any dangerous vow you have made that has cost you peace and opened doors to the enemy’s attack. Renounce and reject false oaths and vow you have made that you have used to cheat and deceive others in Jesus’ name. Any power or personality that has made an oath or vow that they will not relent till they kill you shall fall by the sword in Jesus’ name. Wearing hair extensions are ways to instantly get linked by vow to evil cults and marine hierarchies. Witches and wizard covens initiate you by making you swallow through dream or the physical, parts of a human body or human blood.

    Anything you have eaten in the dream that is a spiritual poison to you, drain out in the name of Jesus. break any covenant and vow you have unwittingly made by wearing strange jewelry in Jesus’ name. Any cage or hole you have forced yourself into by inscribing incisions or tattoos on your body, the snare is broken, and you escape from it now in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  • TODAY'S HYMNAL

    CGDS HYMN 52: SS & S 597:

    I ONCE WAS A STRANGER TO GRACE AND TO GOD

    1. I once was a stranger to grace and to God ;

    I knew not my danger, and felt not my load ;

    Though friends spoke in rapture of

    Christ on the tree,

    " Jehovah Tsidkenu " was nothing to me.

    2. Like tears from the daughters of Zion

    that roll,

    I wept when the waters went over His soul,

    Yet thought not that my sins had

    nailed to the tree

    " Jehovah Tsidkenu " — 'twas nothing to me.

    3. When free grace awoke me, by light from on high,

    Then legal fears shook me, I trembled to die ;

    No refuge, no safety, in self could I see;

    " Jehovah Tsidkenu " my Saviour must be.

    4. My terrors all vanished before the sweet name ;

    My guilty fears banished, with boldness I came

    To drink at the fountain, life-giving and free :

    " Jehovah Tsidkenu " was all things to me.

    5. E'en treading the valley, the shadow of death,

    This watchword shall rally my faltering breath ;

    For, when from life's fever my God sets me free,

    " Jehovah Tsidkenu " my death-song shall be.
